Based on a comparison of 24 countries in 2014, Iceland ranked the highest in licensed physicians per 1,000 people - eurostat with 7.32 persons followed by Italy and Sweden. On the other end of the scale was Romania with 2.00 persons, Liechtenstein with 3.28 persons and Cyprus with 3.50 persons.
