Based on a comparison of 33 countries in 2014, Germany ranked the highest in hospital beds per 1,000 people (eurostat) with 8.23 beds followed by Austria and Lithuania. On the other end of the scale was Liechtenstein with 1.64 beds, Sweden with 2.54 beds and Ireland with 2.60 beds.
