Horse meat production reached 951 tonnes in 2022 in Iceland, according to Faostat. This is 14.4% more than in the previous year.
Historically, horse meat production in Iceland reached an all time high of 1,503 tonnes in 2012 and an all time low of 515 tonnes in 1988.
