Government Expenditure (As % of GDP) in European Union

Government expenditure as a share of gdp reached 46.9% in 2025 in the European Union, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 0.762% less than in the previous year.

Historically, government expenditure as a share of GDP in the European Union reached an all time high of 54.9% in 2020 and an all time low of 45.4% in 2007.
