Based on a comparison of 31 countries in 2011, Cyprus ranked the highest in financial aid to students (as % of total public expenditure on education, at tertiary level of educa with 52.6% followed by Norway and Japan. On the other end of the scale was Czechia with 1.50%, Switzerland with 2.20% and Croatia with 5.50%.
