Based on a comparison of 12 countries in 1999, Italy ranked the highest in final stocks of table wine with 18,311 1,000 hl followed by France and Spain. On the other end of the scale was Luxembourg with 16.0 1,000 hl, Finland with 18.0 1,000 hl and Netherlands with 59.0 1,000 hl.
