Based on a comparison of 11 countries in 1999, France ranked the highest in final stocks of red and rose wine with 25,534 1,000 hl followed by Italy and Spain. On the other end of the scale was Luxembourg with 11.0 1,000 hl, Finland with 33.0 1,000 hl and Sweden with 202 1,000 hl.
