Based on a comparison of 16 countries in 2016, France ranked the highest in exports of bottled varietal wine with 2,253 1,000 hl followed by Spain and Italy. On the other end of the scale was Cyprus with 0.120 1,000 hl, Slovenia with 0.193 1,000 hl and Romania with 0.200 1,000 hl.
