Annual emigration reached 1,301,700 persons in 2012 in the European Union, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 3.28% more than in the previous year.
Historically, annual emigration in the European Union reached an all time high of 2,314,700 persons in 2008 and an all time low of 1,149,500 persons in 2009.
