Based on a comparison of 30 countries in 2022, Ireland ranked the highest in diesel-fuelled as a share of new cars sold with 26.8% followed by Czechia and Austria. On the other end of the scale was Netherlands with 1.49%, Norway with 3.11% and Cyprus with 5.13%.
