Based on a comparison of 11 countries in 2005, Germany ranked the highest in cattle livestock by size of herd with 300 or more dairy cows with 501 '000 followed by United Kingdom and Hungary. On the other end of the scale was France with 1.00 '000, Cyprus with 2.00 '000 and Bulgaria with 4.00 '000.
