Based on a comparison of 30 countries in 2014, France ranked the highest in air emissions from methane in terms of CO2 equivalent with 59,324 kt followed by Turkey and Germany. On the other end of the scale was Malta with 197 kt, Luxembourg with 570 kt and Cyprus with 887 kt.
