Historically, youth dependency ratio in El Salvador reached an all time high of 93.2% in 1969 and an all time low of 36.3% in 2022. When compared to El Salvador's main peers, youth dependency ratio in Costa Rica amounted to 24.6%, 58.5% in Guatemala, 45.1% in Honduras and 39.4% in Nicaragua in 2022.
