Historically, workers' remittances received in Romania reached an all time high of USD 9,160 mil in 2021 and an all time low of USD 9.00 mil in 1995. When compared to Romania's main peers, workers' remittances received in Bulgaria amounted to USD 786 mil, USD 3,487 mil in Hungary, USD 2,085 mil in Moldova and USD 18,060 mil in Ukraine in 2021.
Romania has been ranked 20th within the group of 113 countries we follow in terms of workers' remittances received, 70 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
