Historically, workers' remittances received in Nicaragua reached an all time high of USD 2,151 mil in 2021 and an all time low of USD 3.90 mil in 1977. When compared to Nicaragua's main peers, workers' remittances received in Costa Rica amounted to USD 594 mil, USD 7,488 mil in El Salvador, USD 7,203 mil in Honduras and USD 54,130 mil in Mexico in 2021.
