Based on a comparison of 14 firms among Czech IT Industry, Avast had the biggest debt relative to its equity at the end of 2017 followed by Oracle Czech Republic and Microsoft Czech Republic.
Avast net debt reached CZK 37,613 mil. and accounted for 370% of equity at the end of 2017. The ratio is up 374% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the firm’s net debt to equity reached an all time high of 370% in 2017 and an all time low of -287% in 2007.
When compared to EBITDA, net debt amounted to 5.82x at the end of the year. The ratio reached an all time high of 11.0x in 2016 and an all time low of -2.05x in 2007.
Comparing Avast with its closest peers, Oracle Czech Republic posted net debt to equity of 52.4% and 0.363x when compared to EBITDA at the end of 2017. Microsoft Czech Republic ended the year 2016 with a net debt at 34.2% of equity and 0.230x when compared to its EBITDA while Unicorn Systems had net debt at 20.0% of equity and 0.856x to EBITDA at the end of the year.
