Sberbank's cost to income ratio reached 34.3% in 2017, down from 39.5% when compared to the last year. Historically, the bank’s costs reached an all time high of 67.6% in 2004 and an all time low of 34.3% in 2017.
When compared to total assets, bank's cost amounted to 1.39% in 2017, down from 2.75% a year earlier.
Comparing Sberbank with its closest peers, Zagrebacka Banka operated in 2017 with a cost to income ratio of 47.7%, DSK Bank reached 48.0% and PKO BP some 48.7%.
