Based on a comparison of 9 banks among Indonesian Financials in 2018, Bank Tabungan Negara was the largest mortgage lender, followed by Bank Central Asia and Maybank Indonesia.
Bank Tabungan Negara's mortgage loans reached IDR 170,079 bil, up from IDR 143,098 bil compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s mortgage loans reached an all time high of IDR 170,079 bil in 2018 and an all time low of IDR 55,173 bil in 2012.
At the end of 2018, mortgage loans represented 72.5% of Bank Tabungan Negara's loan book.
Comparing Bank Tabungan Negara with its closest peers, Bank Central Asia's mortgage loans amounted to IDR 87,901 bil at the end of 2018, Maybank Indonesia operated with IDR 7,248 bil mortgage loans and Bank Danamon had a mortgage loan book of IDR 2,994 bil at the end of 2018.
