Based on a comparison of 11 banks among Raiffeisen New Europe in 2017, Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria was the best capitalised bank, followed by Raiffeisenbank Serbia and Raiffeisenbank Russia.
Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria's capital adequacy ratio reached 31.6%, down from 32.2% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 36.7% in 2014 and an all time low of 6.62% in 2003.
Comparing Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria with its closest peers, Raiffeisenbank Serbia ended the year 2017 with a capital adequacy ratio at 26.9%, Raiffeisenbank Russia with 24.7% and Raiffeisen Stambena Stedionica some 23.5% at the end of 2017.
