Based on a comparison of 10 banks among CEE Savings Banks in 2017, Zagrebacka Banka was the best capitalised bank, followed by Banca Commerciala Romana and Ceska Sporitelna.
Zagrebacka Banka's capital adequacy ratio reached 27.8%, up from 26.2% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 27.8% in 2017 and an all time low of 19.1% in 2009.
Comparing Zagrebacka Banka with its closest peers, Banca Commerciala Romana ended the year 2017 with a capital adequacy ratio at 21.3%, Ceska Sporitelna with 18.7% and Slovenska Sporitelna some 18.7% at the end of 2017.
