Comparing Salzburger Sparkasse with its closest peers, Sparkasse Oberosterreich had 1,685 employees with average cost of EUR 5,425 per month per person, Steiermarkische Sparkasse operated with 2,346 people (and EUR 5,204 per month per employee) and Erste Group Bank had 47,702 employees in 2017 with cost of EUR 4,173 per month per head.
