Total tallow production reached 6,573,729 tonnes in 2014 in the World according to Faostat. This is 3.38 % less than in the previous year and -1.87 % less than 10 years ago.
Historically, total tallow production reached an all time high of 6,974,627 tonnes in 2000 and an all time low of 3,279,196 tonnes in 1961. The average annual growth amounted to 1.32 % since 1961.
The top ranked country, USA, accounted for 51.8 % of tallow production in the world. The top 3 countries hold a 70.6 % share while the ten largest countries some 89.2 % in 2014.
