Historically, total production of cheese (sheeps' milk reached an all time high of 691,312 tonnes in 2007 and an all time low of 388,887 tonnes in 1961. The average annual growth amounted to 1.04 % since 1961.
The top ranked country, Greece, accounted for 18.5 % of production of cheese (sheeps' milk in the world. The top 3 countries hold a 44.3 % share while the ten largest countries some 82.0 % in 2014.
