Based on a comparison of 27 countries in 2015, China ranked the highest in nickel (smelter/refined) production with 600,000 tonnes followed by Russia and Japan. On the other end of the scale was Morocco with 200 tonnes, Austria with 700 tonnes and Poland with 840 tonnes.
