Based on a comparison of 18 countries in 2015, Greece ranked the highest in perlite production with 860,000 tonnes followed by Turkey and China. On the other end of the scale was Armenia with 14.0 tonnes, South Africa with 400 tonnes and Australia with 1,300 tonnes.
