Based on a comparison of 46 countries in 2014, Indonesia ranked the highest in palm kernel oil production with 3,328,600 tonnes followed by Malaysia and Thailand. On the other end of the scale was Greece with 0.800 tonnes, Portugal with 3.00 tonnes and Germany with 3.00 tonnes.
Total palm kernel oil production reached 6,218,858 tonnes in 2014 in the World according to Faostat. This is 7.66 % less than in the previous year and 36.7 % more than 10 years ago.
Historically, total palm kernel oil production reached an all time high of 6,695,018 tonnes in 2013 and an all time low of 430,506 tonnes in 1967. The average annual growth amounted to 4.92 % since 1961.
The top ranked country, Indonesia, accounted for 53.5 % of palm kernel oil production in the world. The top 3 countries hold a 92.9 % share while the ten largest countries some 101 % in 2014.
