Based on a comparison of 50 countries in 2022, Russia ranked the highest in linseed production with 1,766,559 tonnes followed by Kazakhstan and Canada. On the other end of the scale was Turkey with 8.00 tonnes, Mexico with 11.2 tonnes and Ecuador with 57.4 tonnes.
Total linseed production reached 3,973,932 tonnes in 2022 in the World according to Faostat. This is 16.1 % more than in the previous year and 49.0 % more than 10 years ago.
Historically, total linseed production reached an all time high of 4,235,815 tonnes in 1970 and an all time low of 1,658,238 tonnes in 2007. The average annual growth amounted to 0.454 % since 1961.
