Which Country Produces the Most Coconuts?

Based on a comparison of 61 countries in 2022, Indonesia ranked the highest in coconut production with 17,190 kt followed by Philippines and India. On the other end of the scale was Maldives with 0.075 kt, Singapore with 0.118 kt and Brunei with 0.411 kt.

Total coconut production reached 62,409 kt in 2022 in the World according to Faostat. This is 0.612 % less than in the previous year and -0.115 % less than 10 years ago.

Historically, total coconut production reached an all time high of 65,308 kt in 2018 and an all time low of 23,728 kt in 1961. The average annual growth amounted to 1.60 % since 1961.

The top ranked country, Indonesia, accounted for 27.5 % of coconut production in the world. The top 3 countries hold a 72.8 % share while the ten largest countries some 90.7 % in 2022.
