Based on a comparison of 177 countries in 2021, Macao ranked the highest in urban population as a percentage of total population with 100% followed by Hong Kong and Singapore. On the other end of the scale was Papua New Guinea with 13.5%, Burundi with 14.1% and Liechtenstein with 14.5%.
