Based on a comparison of 55 countries in 2012, India ranked the highest in number of kidnappings recorded by the police with 38,440 followed by Canada and Australia. On the other end of the scale was Latvia with 1.00, Azerbaijan with 1.00 and Mongolia with 1.00.
