Based on a comparison of 161 countries in 2021, USA ranked the highest in coffee consumption with 1,588 kt followed by Philippines and Vietnam. On the other end of the scale was Seychelles with 1.00 kt, Gambia with 1.00 kt and Gabon with 1.00 kt.

Total coffee consumption reached 11,532 kt in 2021 in the World according to Faostat. This is 3.37 % less than in the previous year and 15.5 % more than 10 years ago.

Historically, total coffee consumption reached an all time high of 11,921 kt in 2020 and an all time low of 3,344 kt in 1961. The average annual growth amounted to 2.08 % since 1961.
