When compared to total assets, bank's cost amounted to 1.39% in 2016, down from 0.399% a year earlier.
Comparing Intesa Sanpaolo Turkey with its closest peers, Citibank Turkey operated in 2016 with a cost to income ratio of 29.5%, Ziraat Bank reached 30.8% and Akbank some 34.6%.
The average cost to income ratio reached 42.0% in the Turkish banking sector in 2016.
