SKB Banka's cost to income ratio reached 47.8% in 2016, down from 53.0% when compared to the last year. Historically, the bank’s costs reached an all time high of 87.9% in 2001 and an all time low of 41.0% in 2005.
When compared to total assets, bank's cost amounted to 1.39% in 2016, down from 2.10% a year earlier.
Comparing SKB Banka with its closest peers, Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Slovenia operated in 2016 with a cost to income ratio of 50.5%, UniCredit Bank Slovenia reached 54.1% and Nova Ljubljanska banka some 60.9%.
The average cost to income ratio reached 59.2% in the Slovenian banking sector in 2016.
