Based on a comparison of 10 banks in Slovenia in 2017, Nova Ljubljanska banka was the largest lender, followed by NKBM Group and SKB Banka.
Nova Ljubljanska banka loans reached EUR 6,995 mil, down 0.041% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s loans reached an all time high of EUR 12,917 mil in 2008 and an all time low of EUR 2,783 mil in 2000.
Comparing Nova Ljubljanska banka with its closest peers, NKBM Group customer loans amounted to EUR 2,366 mil, SKB Banka operated with EUR 2,282 mil loans and Abanka Group had a loan portfolio of EUR 1,967 mil.
Slovenian banking sector provided total customer loans of CZK 21.5 bil in 2017, up 4.82% when compared to the last year. As a result, the top ranked company - Nova Ljubljanska banka accounted for 32.5% of the sector’s loans in 2017. The top 3 companies held a 54.1% share while the five largest firms some 71.8% in 2017.
