What Banks in Slovakia Had the Most Employees in 2017?

Based on a comparison of 13 banks in Slovakia in 2017, Slovenska Sporitelna had the most employees, followed by VUB Banka and Tatra banka.

Slovenska Sporitelna employed 4,250 persons in 2017, up 0.425% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank's workforce hit an all time high of 6,818 persons in 1999 and an all time low of 4,008 in 2010.

Average cost reached CZK 2,763 per month per month per employee, 2.14% more than a year ago. This figure was CZK 1,626 per month some 10 years ago.

Comparing Slovenska Sporitelna with its closest peers, VUB Banka had 3,942 employees with average cost of CZK 2,678 per month per person, Tatra banka operated with 3,754 people (and CZK 2,772 per month per employee) and CSOB Slovakia had 2,572 employees in 2017 with cost CZK 2,572 per month per head.

Slovak banking sector employed 41,888 people in 2017. The average staff cost per employee reached CZK 75,861 per month.
