Slovenska Sporitelna employed 4,232 persons in 2016, up 0.642% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank's workforce hit an all time high of 6,818 persons in 1999 and an all time low of 4,008 in 2010.
Average cost reached CZK 2,705 per month per month per employee, 5.97% more than a year ago. This figure was CZK 1,493 per month some 10 years ago.
Comparing Slovenska Sporitelna with its closest peers, VUB Banka had 4,098 employees with average cost of CZK 2,434 per month per person, Tatra banka operated with 3,795 people (and CZK 2,620 per month per employee) and CSOB Slovakia had 2,563 employees in 2016 with cost CZK 2,563 per month per head.
Slovak banking sector employed 41,020 people in 2016. The average staff cost per employee reached CZK 71,803 per month.
