Based on a comparison of 12 banks in Slovakia in 2017, Slovenska Sporitelna had the most branches, followed by VUB Banka and Tatra banka.

Slovenska Sporitelna operated a network of 271 branches at the end of 2017. That's compared to 273 branches some 10 years ago.

Comparing Slovenska Sporitelna with its closest peers, VUB Banka operated a network of 236 branches in 2017, Tatra banka had 187 branches and CSOB Slovakia had a network of 133 branches in 2017.

Slovak banks operated a network of 1,945 branches in 2017. Total of 41,888 people worked for the banks in 2017.
