What Banks in Russia Paid its Staff the Most in 2016?

Based on a comparison of 16 banks in Russia in 2016, Gazprombank was paying its employees the best, followed by UniCredit Bank Russia and Alfa Bank.

Gazprombank employed 13,500 persons in 2016, down 0% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank's workforce hit an all time high of 13,500 persons in 2014 and an all time low of 3,000 in 2000.

Average cost reached RUB 185,451 per month per employee, 0% less than a year ago. This figure was RUB per month some 10 years ago.

Staff accounted for 41.0% of total operating expenditures in 2016.

Comparing Gazprombank with its closest peers, UniCredit Bank Russia had 4,084 employees with average cost of RUB 178,493 per month per person, Alfa Bank operated with 21,276 people (and RUB 146,976 per month per employee) and Raiffeisenbank Russia had 7,664 employees in 2016 with cost of RUB 139,781 per month per head.
