Based on a comparison of 19 banks in Russia in 2016, B&N Bank operated with the lowest loan to deposit ratio, followed by AK BARS Bank and Tinkoff Group.
B&N Bank's loan to deposit ratio reached 36.7% at the end of 2016, down from 44.7% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s loans to deposits hit an all time high of 81.2% in 2014 and an all time low of 36.7% in 2016.
Comparing B&N Bank with its closest peers, AK BARS Bank ended the year 2016 with loans to deposits at 80.1%, Tinkoff Group with 82.6% and OTP Bank Russia some 85.6% of loans to deposits at the end of 2016.
Overall, total loans of the Russian banking sector amounted to 133% of deposits at the end of 2016.
