Bank Handlowy employed 3,561 persons in 2017, down 2.17% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank's workforce hit an all time high of 5,722 persons in 2007 and an all time low of 3,561 in 2017.
Average cost reached PLN 12,434 per month per employee, 1.74% less than a year ago. This figure was PLN 10,259 per month some 10 years ago.
Staff accounted for 43.9% of total operating expenditures in 2017.
Comparing Bank Handlowy with its closest peers, mBank had 6,455 employees with average cost of PLN 11,656 per month per person, Bank BPH operated with 5,287 people (and PLN 11,284 per month per employee) and Raiffeisen Bank Polska had 3,978 employees in 2017 with cost of PLN 10,968 per month per head.
The average staff cost per employee reached PLN 75,861 per month in the Polish banking sector in 2017.
