PKO BP employed 28,443 persons in 4Q2017, up 0.102% when compared to the previous quarter and down 3.39% when compared to the same period of last year. Historically, the bank's workforce hit an all time high of 35,386 persons in 4Q2004 and an all time low of 27,387 in 4Q2013.
Average cost reached CZK 8,754 per month per employee, 0.166% more than a year ago. This figure was CZK 3,567 per month some 10 years ago.
When compared to the nearest peers, Pekao had 17,339 employees with average cost of CZK 9,705 per person a month, Santander Bank Polska operated with 14,383 people (and CZK 9,263 per employee) and Alior Bank had 8,110 employees in 4Q2017 with CZK 8,110 cost per head.
Polish banking sector employed 41,888 people in 4Q2017. The average staff cost per employee reached CZK 79,394 per month.
