What Banks in Poland Had the Most Employees in 4Q2016?

Based on a comparison of 11 banks in Poland in 4Q2016, PKO BP had the most employees, followed by Pekao and Santander Bank Polska.

PKO BP employed 29,441 persons in 4Q2016, up 1.90% when compared to the previous quarter and up 0.753% when compared to the same period of last year. Historically, the bank's workforce hit an all time high of 35,386 persons in 4Q2004 and an all time low of 27,387 in 4Q2013.

Average cost reached CZK 8,233 per month per employee, 0.641% more than a year ago. This figure was CZK 8,887 per month some 10 years ago.

When compared to the nearest peers, Pekao had 17,757 employees with average cost of CZK 9,064 per person a month, Santander Bank Polska operated with 14,722 people (and CZK 8,696 per employee) and Alior Bank had 10,245 employees in 4Q2016 with CZK 10,245 cost per head.

Polish banking sector employed 41,020 people in 4Q2016. The average staff cost per employee reached CZK 77,133 per month.
