PKO BP employed 28,891 persons in 3Q2016, up 0.083% when compared to the previous quarter and down 0.335% when compared to the same period of last year. Historically, the bank's workforce hit an all time high of 35,386 persons in 4Q2004 and an all time low of 27,387 in 4Q2013.
Average cost reached CZK 8,181 per month per employee, 0.335% less than a year ago. This figure was CZK 5,241 per month some 10 years ago.
When compared to the nearest peers, Pekao had 17,994 employees with average cost of CZK 8,704 per person a month, Santander Bank Polska operated with 14,366 people (and CZK 8,833 per employee) and ING Bank Slaski had 8,179 employees in 3Q2016 with CZK 8,179 cost per head.
Polish banking sector employed 41,217 people in 3Q2016. The average staff cost per employee reached CZK 75,187 per month.
