Based on a comparison of 11 banks in Poland in 3Q2016, PKO BP had the most branches, followed by Pekao and Santander Bank Polska.
PKO BP operated a network of 1,256 branches at the end of 3Q2016. That's compared to 1,243 branches some 10 years ago.
When compared to bank's main peers, Pekao operated a network of 942 branches in 3Q2016, Santander Bank Polska had 821 branches and Alior Bank had a network of 801 branches in 3Q2016.
Polish banks operated a network of 2,086 branches in 3Q2016. Total of 41,217 people worked for the banks in 3Q2016.
