PKO BP reported total revenues of PLN 3,442 mil, up 6.86% when compared to the previous quarter and up 11.1% when compared to the same period of last year. Historically, the bank’s revenues containing of interest, fee and other non-interest income reached an all time high of PLN 3,442 mil in 2Q2017 and an all time low of PLN 1,368 mil in 3Q2004. The average revenue in the last five years amounted to PLN 3,058 mil.
Bank's total revenues accounted for 4.81% of total assets in 2Q2017, up from 4.55% a year earlier.
When compared to the nearest peers, Santander Bank Polska generated total revenues of PLN 1,936 mil, or 5.17% of assets in 2Q2017, Pekao operated with PLN 1,834 mil total income, or 4.30% revenue margin and mBank produced total income worth PLN 1,251 mil, or 3.87% of assets.
Polish banking sector generated total revenues of PLN 48,128 mil in 2Q2017, down 18.0% when compared to the last year. As a result, the top ranked company - PKO BP accounted for 7.15% of the sector’s total income in 2Q2017. The top 3 companies held a 15.0% share while the five largest firms some 20.1% in 2Q2017.
