Based on a comparison of 13 banks in Philippines in 2018, Banco de Oro was the largest deposit taker, followed by Landbank and Bank of the Philippine Islands.
Banco de Oro's customer deposits reached PHP 2,419,960 mil, up from PHP 2,121,010 mil, compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s net profit reached an all time high of PHP 2,419,960 mil in 2018 and an all time low of PHP 31,744 mil in 1997.
Comparing Banco de Oro with its closest peers, Landbank's deposits amounted to PHP 1,675,530 mil at the end of 2018, Bank of the Philippine Islands operated with PHP 1,585,750 mil of customer deposits and Metrobank had clients' deposits of PHP 1,556,750 mil at the end of 2018.
