Based on a comparison of 10 banks in Hungary in 2017, OTP Group was the largest deposit taker, followed by OTP Bank Hungary and K&H Bank.
OTP Group's customer deposits reached HUF 10,233,500 mil, up from HUF 8,540,580 mil, compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s net profit reached an all time high of HUF 10,233,500 mil in 2017 and an all time low of HUF 695,518 mil in 1993.
Comparing OTP Group with its closest peers, OTP Bank Hungary's deposits amounted to HUF 5,381,580 mil at the end of 2017, K&H Bank operated with HUF 2,293,310 mil of customer deposits and UniCredit Bank Hungary had clients' deposits of HUF 1,643,830 mil at the end of 2017.
Hungarian banks had customer deposits of CZK 4,169 bil in 2017, up 10.7% when compared to the last year. As a result, the top ranked company - OTP Group accounted for 245% of the sector’s deposits in 2017. The top 3 companies held a 430% share while the five largest firms some 506% in 2017.
