Hypotecni Banka's cost to income ratio reached 21.1% in 2016, up from 17.5% when compared to the last year. Historically, the bank’s costs reached an all time high of 102% in 1998 and an all time low of 15.8% in 2012.
When compared to total assets, bank's cost amounted to 1.39% in 2016, up from 0.381% a year earlier.
Comparing Hypotecni Banka with its closest peers, PPF Banka operated in 2016 with a cost to income ratio of 33.3%, Stavebni Sporitelna Ceske Sporitelny reached 35.0% and Max banka some 35.3%.
The average cost to income ratio reached 43.7% in the Czech banking sector in 2016.
