Based on a comparison of 27 banks in Czechia in 2018, CSOB was the largest lender, followed by Ceska Sporitelna and Komercni Banka.
CSOB loans reached CZK 690,610 mil, up 2.35% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s loans reached an all time high of CZK 690,610 mil in 2018 and an all time low of CZK 80,915 mil in 1995.
Comparing CSOB with its closest peers, Ceska Sporitelna customer loans amounted to CZK 685,639 mil, Komercni Banka operated with CZK 624,954 mil loans and UniCredit Bank Czecho-Slovakia had a loan portfolio of CZK 412,036 mil.
Czech banking sector provided total customer loans of CZK 3,306 bil in 2018, up 7.16% when compared to the last year. As a result, the top ranked company - CSOB accounted for 20.9% of the sector’s loans in 2018. The top 3 companies held a 60.5% share while the five largest firms some 82.0% in 2018.
