Based on a comparison of 21 banks in Czechia in 3Q2018, Fio banka operated with the lowest loan to deposit ratio, followed by PPF Banka and J&T Banka.
Fio banka's loan to deposit ratio reached 13.1% at the end of 3Q2018, up from 11.3% when compared to the previous quarter and up from 11.5% when compared to the same period of last year. Historically, the bank’s loans to deposits hit an all time high of 42.6% in 1Q2012 and an all time low of 11.3% in 2Q2018.
When compared to the nearest peers, PPF Banka ended the year 3Q2018 with loans to deposits at 24.1%, J&T Banka with 31.2% and Banka Creditas some 41.3% of loans to deposits at the end of 3Q2018.
Overall, total loans of the Czech banking sector amounted to 73.9% of deposits at the end of 3Q2018.
